General Donation

You may make a general donation to help JHS provide essential services for the animals that come to our shelter as well as to the community.

Become a Member of JHS

Donations $25 or more make you eligible for our membership program and its related benefits. Most importantly, by becoming a member of JHS, you play a key role in providing essential services for the animals that come to our shelter and for making specific programs possible to our community.

Gift2Give

Honorary Donation

You may make a donation in honor of someone special. JHS will send an acknowledgement letter to the family member, friend or pet owner.

For Honorary donations, click here and choose Honorarium Fund. Please provide the name of the individual or pet for whom you are making a honorary donation along with their name and address.

Memorial Donation

You may make a donation in memory of a loved one who has passed away. JHS will send an acknowledgement letter to a designated family member, friend or pet owner.

For Memorial donations, click here and choose Memorial Fund. Please provide the name of the individual or pet for whom you are making a memorial donation along with the name, address, and relationship of the family member or friend to receive the acknowledgment.

Capital Campaign

On April 7, 2007 the Jacksonville Humane Society was virtually destroyed by a devastating fire; out of this tragic event will come great things. The Jacksonville Humane Society has launched a Capital Campaign to raise essential funding to build a new Adoption and Education Center. We need to raise approximately 12 million dollars to create a multi-use facility that will serve the needs of our community for decades to come. JHS is creating a new life changing attitude by providing “One-of-a-kind pets for one-of-a-kind homes”.

The JHS Capital Campaign is a bricks & mortar project. Your donation to this fund will be designated solely for the purpose building a new center on our Beach Boulevard campus. For Capital Campaign donations, click here and choose Capital Campaign.

The Jacksonville Humane Society, Inc. is a nonprofit organization with 501©3 status and receives no federal or state funding nor are we an agency of the United Way. We rely on donations, memberships, and bequests to operate our Adoption Center, and provide vital programs.
