8am – 12pm Monday-Friday
Where: Jacksonville Humane Society
Why: To help our homeless animals find a home
The mission of this year’s Camp Kindness is to help find our homeless animals a home. Depending on the number of dogs, each child will be teamed up and each team will be assigned a dog at the beginning of Camp Kindness. The camper’s goal during Camp Kindness is to help get their dog adopted. If the dog is adopted during camp, the campers will be assigned another dog. The campers will take care of “their” dogs during camp. This includes basic obedience, food and water, exercise and grooming. The campers will keep a journal of their experiences and will plan a graduation ceremony at the end of Camp Kindness. Other activities include arts and crafts, games, guest speakers and a tour and overview of the Jacksonville Humane Society. The cost is $200, which includes a t-shirt, goodie bag, snacks and drinks and all activities and materials.
Registration begins Monday, April 21st and forms will be available online and at the Jacksonville Humane Society.
