Pet Expo

The 8th Annual Pet Expo took place at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds February 16 & 17, 2008. The event attracted 6,200 people, raised vital funding for the Jacksonville Humane Society, and resulted in the adoption of 107 animals!

This year, Animal Planet host Jeff Corwin headlined the event, performing to a sell-out crowd. Jay Stutz, host of Animal Planet’s “Good Dog U,” entertained and educated audiences with animal training techniques. Other Pet Expo highlights included Ultimate Air Dogs, a dock diving dog group that has performed on ESPN; the Purina Incredible Dog Team; The Chris Tyler Band; a Family Fun Zone; the Parade of Rescue Dogs; and 75 pet-related vendors.
