DESCRIPTION:BISSELL Pet Foundation is hosting an emergency “Empty the Shelters” adoption event at 10 Florida shelters from Feb. 24 – 28, 2022, including the Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS). This is a statewide effort to relieve overcrowded shelters after their assistance with a large-scale neglect case in Santa Rosa County, Fla. BISSELL Pet Foundation will sponsor reduced adoption fees of $25 or less per dog or cat to help pets find loving homes.\n\nThe Jacksonville Humane Society will participate Feb. 24 – 28, 2022, offering free adoptions for large dogs 30 lbs and up and $25 adoptions for cats/kittens and small dogs. (Additional fees may apply.)\nJHS is located at 8464 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville FL 32216.\nHours of operation 12-7 weekdays, 10-5 weekends.\nAll interested adopters can view all of our available dogs online at jaxhumane.org ( http://www.jaxhumane.org ).\n\n
