DESCRIPTION:High school students in grades 9-12 are invited to join us on Saturday, February 4, for a day of learning and service at the Jacksonville Humane Society!\nParticipants will learn about animal sheltering, what dogs and cats go through while living in a shelter environment, and how we can help make their stay as happy, healthy, and stress-free as possible.\nService projects may include:\n– creating enrichment items for the pets such as dog treats, food puzzles, cat toys, and more\n– stuffing envelopes with thank you letters to donors\n– making heating pads for neonatal kittens and surgery patients\n– folding laundry\n– reading to the pets to help them feel more relaxed in their kennels\nIn addition to completing a variety of service projects, participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with a JHS dog and JHS kittens or cats.\nAll participants will be awarded 4 community service hours at the end of the day.\nLearn more and register now!
