Thanks to the generosity of our community far and wide, JHS was able to evacuate all of our animals prior to Hurricane Irma’s arrival. This allowed us to provide empty kennels to neighbors in need after the storm – 59 pets in total from a neighboring shelter the very same day that Hurricane Irma hit our city.

JHS will continue to transfer animals into our care from shelters throughout the state in the wake of Hurricane Irma.

You can help us continue this life-saving work with a donation today.
