24th Annual Toast to the Animals
Important Update – 09.27.22: In light of the City of Jacksonville’s recent declaration of a state of emergency, and considering the fact that the safety of our guests is our top priority, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to move Toast to the Animals to Wednesday, November 9, 2022. We cannot wait to see you all on November 9 and are so excited to celebrate all YOU make possible at JHS.
Toast to the Animals is one of Jacksonville’s premier tasting events!
We hope you will join us for our 24th annual Toast to the Animals, Jacksonville’s premier charitable tasting event! This year we are honoring Jacksonville Philanthropist and former JHS Board Chair, Kristine Cherek and Kirk Larsen. For Kristine Cherek and Kirk Larsen, the First Coast is more than just a place to live – it’s a home. Since moving here, Kristine and Kirk have made an indelible impact on the lives of countless people and animals, thanks to their support of the Jacksonville Humane Society and other charitable organizations. Their kindness, generosity, and passion for giving have truly made our community a better place.
In addition, we are excited to recognize our Kitten Krusaders, veterinary practices that partner with JHS to provide Good Samaritans the opportunity to care for kittens in their homes, instead of surrendering them to a shelter: VCA All Animal Hospital of Orange Park, San Marco Animal Hospital, Mandarin Animal Hospital, Your Home Vet, First Coast No More Homeless Pets and Durbin Creek Animal Hospital.
Toast to the Animals will be a night to remember, bringing influential community leaders, distinguished executives and philanthropists together to support the amazing work the Jacksonville Humane Society’s Medical Fund does annually. The evening will feature hors d’oeuvres and desserts from local restaurants and eateries, wine, beer, music and lively, one-of-a kind silent and live auctions. In addition, you won’t want to miss crowd-favorite activities like our raffle and wine pull! All guests will receive a commemorative JHS wine glass upon check-in.
Proceeds from Toast to the Animals will benefit the JHS Medical Fund, which helps us to provide lifesaving medical care to animals suffering from illness or injury. We do not receive any state or federal funding. It is only through the generosity of individuals and businesses like yours that JHS, a 501(c)(3) organization, is able to provide for the nearly 9,000 animals in our care.
