Paws and Stripes Academy Information Session

The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) is offering a Paws and Stripes Academy information session to veterans and military spouses on January 24 at 5 p.m. at JHS located at 8464 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32216.

the JHS Paws & Stripes Academy is a unique volunteer and workforce development opportunity for members of the United States military as well as military spouses.  Paws & Stripes fills a gap for certain animals at JHS and provides a specialized opportunity for veterans and their spouses. The program offers workforce development training for military members or veterans who are transitioning to civilian life and need support for a new career.  Participants will be among the first considered for employment at JHS and have access to JHS’s vast network in animal welfare.

JHS encourages interested community members to attend the information session being held on January 24 to learn more about the Paws and Stripes Academy.
