Adult Whisker Workshops promo imageAdult Whisker Workshops (AWWs)

Have you ever wanted to craft for a cause? Adult Whisker Workshops are for individuals interested in learning new art techniques, creating useful projects for shelter pets in need, and meeting new people in a welcoming environment!

During AWWs, participants will complete a variety of service and art projects benefiting JHS pets while learning about animal sheltering, what dogs and cats go through while living in a shelter environment, and how we can help make their experiences as happy, healthy, and stress-free as possible.

A $25 donation is required to register. This donation helps cover the cost of project supplies and helps support the nearly 11,000 animals JHS cares for each year. Refreshments will be provided.

Pre-registration is required. Must be 18+ to participate.

Upcoming Adult Whisker Workshops:

Saturday, March 7

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Theme: Neurographic Pet Portraits

Cost: $25

Come join us at the Jacksonville Humane Society as we craft for a cause!

For this session, we’ll be utilizing watercolor painting techniques to create colorful neurographic pet portraits. You can choose to make a “meowgnificent” portrait of your own pet or a pet at JHS to help promote them for adoption!

Neurographic art is a structured yet free-flowing method of artmaking – you can explore and experiment without worrying about making a mistake! Creating neurographic art can also improve focus and help us practice mindfulness and process difficult emotions and stress.

This opportunity is for all skill levels, and no painting experience is needed.

Pre-registration is required. Must be 18+ to participate.

Register now – space is limited!
