Tee Up for a New Best Friend During The Players Adoption Weekend at JHS

Looking for a fun way to spend the weekend while making a difference for a local pet? The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) is teaming up with The Players Championship for a special adoption weekend on Saturday, August 15, and Sunday, August 16, 2026.

This family-friendly event will take place at the JHS Adoption and Education Center, located at 8464 Beach Blvd., and will feature adoptable pets, giveaways, and activities for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re searching for your next four-legged family member or simply want to spend time with some amazing animals, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Throughout the weekend, more than 100 dogs and cats will be available for adoption. Every adoption creates space for another pet in need while giving an animal the chance to begin a new chapter in a loving home. Adoption fees will be waived for dogs, and all cats and kittens will be buy one, get one free!*

JHS is excited to partner with The Players Championship to bring the community together in support of local shelter pets. The event highlights the importance of pet adoption while celebrating the impact that community partnerships can have on helping animals find homes.

The adoption event will be held during JHS’s regular weekend hours, 10 am to 5 pm on both Saturday and Sunday.

As always, every pet adopted from JHS is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before going home.

Whether you’re ready to adopt or just want to stop by and meet some incredible pets, everyone is invited to join JHS and The Players Championship for a weekend dedicated to giving homeless animals loving homes.
