The Jacksonville Humane Society is joining BISSELL Pet Foundation to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Empty the Shelters, a nationwide adoption event helping more pets connect with families. From September 21 through 30, adoption fees for all dogs at JHS will be just $25.
Dogs of all ages, sizes and personalities are waiting to meet you at the JHS Adoption and Education Center. Whether you are looking for an adventure partner, a couch companion or a dog who fits somewhere in between, the JHS team can help you get to know the available pets and guide you through the adoption process.
Every pet adopted from JHS is spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Before visiting, adopters are encouraged to browse available pets and review adoption information at jaxhumane.org. Available pets may change throughout the day.
Since it began in 2016, Empty the Shelters has helped nearly 400,000 pets find homes across the United States and Canada. The program provides funding to participating shelters so they can lower adoption fees and make adoption more accessible to families.
JHS is grateful to Cathy Bissell and BISSELL Pet Foundation for continuing to support shelters, adopters and pets through this nationwide effort.
Visit jaxhumane.org to see available pets and prepare for your visit. Then stop by 8464 Beach Blvd. between September 21 and 30 to meet the dogs hoping to head home with you.
