Meet our August Spokespet of the Month: Luca! Luca was a runner-up in our fourth annual Jacksonville’s Cutest Pet Contest.
“Hi, my name is Luca – it’s Italian. I’m a 6-year-old Cane Corso. I’m adopted. I was homeless living on the street, abandoned, sick with heartworms and underweight for my age at 74 pounds. Today, I’m a 115-pound, healthy fun-loving dog who plays nice with others (including cats). My favorite pastimes are napping and playing tug-of-war.” – Luca, with help from his family

675 Additional Cats Were Fixed Thanks to License Plates
TThe Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) completed a year-long project this month by completing 675 spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and kittens in Jacksonville after a $25,000 award from Florida Animal Friend.
