October 2023 Pets of the Month: Tango + Mama Cat

Tango

Tango is a fun, enthusiastic pup who loves going on adventures and exploring the great outdoors with his friends. His favorite games include fetch and tug of war, and he also likes balls and the occasional squeaky toy!

Tango recently spent time in a foster home, and his hosts described him as “very smart and picks up commands very fast.” Tango enjoys learning and training, especially when treats are involved!

Mama Cat

Mama Cat is a calm, friendly gal who can be a little shy at first but just needs some time to warm up. She loves getting lots of pets around her head, chin, and cheeks and enjoys spending time chilling out around her favorite people.

Mama Cat is also a fan of scratching on scratching posts, hiding and napping inside boxes and tents, and exploring the tallest reaches of her cat trees.

Want to meet Mama Cat? You’ll find her in Group Room 5 in the JHS Adoption Center! Her adoption is sponsored.

Not ready to adopt yet? Both Tango and Mama Cat are available to go home with you on a Staycation! Staycations are short-term fostering commitments that give some of our adult pets – like Tango and Mama Cat – much-needed breaks from the shelter. To get started, just stop by our Adoption Center at 8464 Beach Blvd. during our hours of operation: Monday-Friday from 12-7pm and Saturday-Sunday from 10am-5pm. Let our team at the front desk know you’d like to take Tango or Mama Cat home for a Staycation and they’ll guide you through the process!
