JHS’s first Paws & Stripes Academy classes start on February 8 with additional sessions continuing throughout the spring – if you’re a military veteran with an interest in transitioning to a new career in animal welfare or veterinary medicine, please consider joining us!

Paws & Stripes Academy is a free job skills training program for veterans that includes classroom instruction from experienced animal professionals as well as hands-on skills training in an animal shelter environment.
