Over the last three days, 20 high school students participating in our Ambassadors in Training camp spent time learning all about animal welfare and sheltering while enriching the lives of the pets at the Jacksonville Humane Society. One of the many projects they completed during the program was crafting promotional materials to spread the word about some of the pets who have been in the shelter the longest. They collaborated together on this blog post and are hoping you’ll consider stopping by our Adoption Center at 8464 Beach Blvd. to meet one of these amazing animals!

Queen

Hi. I’m Queen. I love to snuggle and play tug of war and fetch. I enjoy training, and I am very quick to learn new commands. I know sit, leave it, loose leash walking, and more! I would love to meet you at the Jacksonville Humane Society.

Whiskers

Hi! I’m Whiskers! i would love to chat – and who knows, I might be the purrrfect cuddle bug for you! When I’m not playing, I love soaking up the sun. Please stop by and say hello. My heart is as warm as the sun!

Boduke

Hi. My name is Boduke! I love a challenge and enjoy completing puzzles. People would describe me as playful and sweet. It would make my day if you stopped by JHS and fed me a treat.

Lil Momma

Greetings! My name is Lil Momma. I absolutely love playing with toys, cuddling, and belly rubs! I might be a little shy at first, but I’d love to get to know you and be close pals with you! I enjoy going on walks and getting treats. Speaking of which – we can practice commands for rewards! I already know commands like sit and down! I’m polite and love to cuddle. I hope we might be able to meet and hang sometime soon.

Hi, human! I adore head rubs and thrive in homes that provide plenty of attention. My staff describe me as a calm, curious, polite kitty who has a tendency to snuggle. My treats and toys of choice include wet food and mice, and I love to play with animal friends. I am eligible for both a Staycation and adoption. I can’t wait to cuddle in hiding spots with you at JHS!
