Hey Duval Fam! You’ve heard us talking a lot recently about shelters being full and so many of you have stepped up to help by adopting, fostering, volunteering and donating. Can you help us keep that momentum going?!
Introducing the Jacksonville DOG FOSTER Challenge! We are joining forces with Animal Care & Protective Services to place 40 dogs into temporary foster homes starting now through just after Memorial Day, May 31st.
The goal is 20 dogs from each shelter for 40 total … can we make it happen???
How it works:
✔️ Head to JHS or ACPS and say, “I’m here for the Jacksonville Dog Foster Challenge!”
✔️ The staff will help you select a dog who meets the criteria (30 lbs. + and 6 months+)
✔️ If you have other pets or children, let us know
✔️ You take the doggo home to hang out with you until May 31st
✔️ Have a WHOLE LOTTA FUN together!!
✔️ Bring them back on May 31st OR even better, find them a new home
✔️ If that new home is with you, go back to the shelter at any time to make it official!
JHS is located at 8464 Beach Blvd. and is open weekdays from 12 pm to 7 pm and on weekends from 10 am to 5 pm.
ACPS is located at 2020 Forest St. and is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12 pm to 7 pm and on weekends from 10 am to 6 pm.

Can’t foster? ➡️ We need donations of Pup-peroni, Friskies cat treats, clip leashes (not retractable), buckle and martingale collars, and monetary donations are welcome!
