Meatloaf

Just like his namesake, Meatloaf is warm, comforting, and a crowd favorite! Meatloaf is an excellent cuddler who also enjoys going for walks, exploring, and going on adventures. He’s a huge fan of peanut butter and loves playing nosework games – he’s got a big brain AND a big appetite!

Chess

What’s black and white and cute all over? IT’S CHESS! This dapper, friendly boy is a staff and volunteer favorite at JHS. Chess loves being petted and is especially fond of cheek rubs. He also likes snuggling up in cozy blankets and relaxing in sunny spots near windows. He’s cool yet relatable, laid back but curious…in short, the purr-fect feline!

Want to meet Chess? You’ll find him in his kitty kennel in the JHS Adoption Center! His adoption is sponsored.

Not ready to adopt yet? Both Meatloaf and Chess are Staycation-eligible, which means you can treat them to a short break from the shelter!

To get started, just stop by our Adoption Center at 8464 Beach Blvd. during our hours of operation: Monday-Friday from 12-7pm and Saturday-Sunday from 10am-5pm. Let our team at the front desk know you’d like to take either Meatloaf or Chess home for a Staycation and they’ll guide you through the process!
