Everyone’s heard of the Fab Four – but did you know we have our very own Fab FIVE at the Jacksonville Humane Society?

Our Ambassadors in Training – a group of 17 high school students participating in a 3-day humane education program at JHS this summer – would love for you to take a moment to learn about five “pawesome” pets who are still waiting at our shelter to find homes.

Coolio

Coolio lives up to his name as a very cool dog. He loves chew toys and tasty treats. Coolio is a sweet boy and is looking for a loving home where he can rest and enjoy company. He likes to walk on trails, admiring the beautiful nature. Coolio loves to meet new people and is thrilled to see new faces. Coolio is a very good boy and will be a great companion to make exceptional memories with.

Adele

Adele is a sweet girl who adores being brushed. This little kitty will never pass up a nap under the sun or curling up in a comfortable bed. She’s seen her fair share of bedding in her 7 years of life and has become quite the connoisseur of comfort! Though she takes her time getting used to people, she loves the attention humans give her. She is very vocal about when she’s craving affection and appreciates it when people let her decide whether or not she wants to be petted. She is an incredible cat, and she’s very intelligent – another one of her hobbies is clicker training! Adele is currently learning the “sit” command.

Bobby Elvis

In need of an active Elvis fan? Here’s the dog for you – meet Bobby Elvis! Bobby is a big fan of any toys, all treats, and is very motivated by attention and petting. Bobby is also a big fan of morning walks but don’t get it twisted – he’s always down to relax. Though he isn’t the most able swimmer, he loves taking a dip every onw and again. He loves doing nosework, sniffing around and searching for treats in a snuffle bin, and he absolutely adores tug of war.

Crocodile

This is Crocodile! He loves attention and loves to cuddle on your lap. Crocodile is a very happy and healthy cat. He also adores other animals and pets. Crocodile really likes to hang out in boxes as well. Crocodile is calm, curious, and full of life – but Crocodile would love to be part of yours.

Rudy

This excited dog named Rudy is almost like Einstein! He loves to adventure with others and is really quirky. He’s very playful, sweet, and gentle, and is quite the attention seeker. Rudy loves his treats and his pets and snuggles. Rudy also enjoys car rides along with toys and walks, especially when he gets to enjoy the smells. If you love snuggles and kisses, I promise Rudy is for you!
