S.P.O.T.S. – Five Steps to Master Your Mutt March!

The Jacksonville Humane Society is so excited that Mutt March is BACK! The paw-sitively awesome thing about Mutt March is that it’s not only a one-day event… but an ongoing opportunity to raise awareness and donations for animals in need.

Once you’ve registered for Mutt March and have gathered the purr-fect team (and team name!), make sure you all utilize our strategy S.P.O.T.S Social media, People, Open Requests, Total, Say thanks – to ensure you’re making the biggest impact possible!

Social Media: Inform your friends, family, and followers online about how you’re contributing to helping animals in our community through Mutt March. You can inspire others to register for the event, join your team, or to donate to your personal fundraising page. Social media is a great space to share how you can make an impact to the animals at JHS!

People: Sharing your plans to participate in Mutt March is a great conversation to start with family and friends (especially those with a furry friend)! Asking for support from your loved ones can lead to a new donation or team member you weren’t expecting!

Open Request: Another simple way to achieve donations is through sharing your own fundraising link! You can access your personal fundraising page here. Utilize your social media stories, email and even text messages to share the link that directly to your own donation page!

Total: Setting a total goal for your team is a great way to encourage folks to donate to your fundraising page. Up until the day of Mutt March, it’s important to continue sharing updates (via social media, email, text etc.) that you or your team may only need a few more dollars to reach your goal!

Say Thanks: Here at JHS, we believe you can never say THANK YOU enough. When it comes to you and your community’s hard work, we are forever thankful for how you help support our mission. Be sure to let your donors know how much you appreciate their contributions. After all, your team might be raising money for the same cause next year!
