Have you met Mike? Chances are if you’ve visited our shelter in the last few months, you’ve seen an adorable, smiley boy named Mike. We’d love to tell you a little more about this love bug, and maybe YOU are the family he’s been waiting for.

Mike is a 6-year-old dog who is playful, loving, adventurous, and so enthusiastic about life! You can’t help but feel happy when you see his big, beautiful smile. Mike enjoys going on adventures – car rides, long walks, hikes, you name it – and spending time with people. He’s also a super fast learner (genius alert!) and already knows a bunch of cues, like Sit, Stay, and Place, and he knows to wait at doors until his person lets him out.

Mike is deaf, but that doesn’t hold him back from living his best life. All those cues we mentioned? Mike knows hand signals for all of them – how cool is that? Watch Mike and his hand signals in action here. (P.S., Being deaf also makes Mike the perfect companion to vent to after a long day).

Mike absolutely loves to make new human friends. Once you’re besties, he will insist on flopping over for belly rubs and snuggles, and how can you say no to that face?!

In addition to all of this, Mike is also a Dolly’s Dream dog. The Dolly’s Dream project has generously sponsored Mike’s adoption, so he is FREE to adopt and he goes home with goodies to start his new life. Seriously, he’s the whole package!
