The Jacksonville Humane Society is joining Petco Love for the second annual FLORIDA MEGA PET ADOPTION Event! This event has one goal – to find new, loving homes for 2,000 dogs and cats in shelters from nearly 50 organizations across the state of Florida. Adoption fees are waived during this event!

On June 28 – 29, 2024 JHS will join Jacksonville Animal Care & Protective Services and nine other area shelters for a regional adoption event at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds. Hundreds of animals from each of these organizations will be available for adoption at this regional location! Free adoptions will continue at JHS on June 30, 2024.

Locally, you can find pets at the following locations:

Jacksonville Fairgrounds – Friday and Saturday, June 28 and 30, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day – eleven shelters from northeast Florida will be there with hundreds of dogs and cats!

The Jacksonville Humane Society will be at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds on Friday and Saturday. The shelter is closed both days. JHS will be open during normal business hours and offering free adoptions on Sunday.

Animal Care and Protective Services will be at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds and open during normal business hours, including Sunday.

Petco at Marsh Landing in Jacksonville Beach will have cats and kittens for adoption during store hours, Friday through Sunday.
